Local MND Association Branch in Greater Manchester

I’m a member of the Manchester and District branch of the MND Association, we cover Greater Manchester, and I help by organising various branch activities and also act as the local campaigner for the branch. In April 2017 I was asked to become Vice Chair, and in April 2019 I was then asked to take on the role of Branch Chair, an honour I was delighted to accept.

I enjoy the branch activities, from supporting our amazing fundraisers, to organising branch events. We have a really strong branch, and it’s been an honour to serve on the committee, to try and make a real difference for other families.

We have been proud to develop the branch, making it constantly stronger, and we always look forward to much more success to come!

I was the Branch Chair from April 2019 until my tenure ended April 2024 due to increasing work commitments in my main job. The time as Chair was rewarding and I feel honoured I was trusted with the role over the five years I was in post.

As a Stockport lad born and bred, I took great delight in having Stockport Town Hall light up for 2017, many thanks to everyone at Stockport Council for helping to arrange it for me!
